Happy Halloweiner Dog

Well my church had their annual Harvest festival with 80 game booths and thousands of pounds of candy for the kiddos! This year we had our first ever doggie costume contest. My friend Janay, who volunteers for Ridgeback Rescue and got me my sweet Big Dumb Puppy O'Reilly, helped me judge along with another friend.

There were 20 great entries and it was REALLY HARD to choose just 3 winners! Here are a few I actually got pictures of that turned out!

Here's Janay with her girl Cleo
both dressed as Harem Girls!
Cleo is the coolest ridgeback mix dog!
Cleo helped judge with Lakota.

The Ghostbuster pug won 1st prize.
Another Pirate dog won 3rd prize, but this one was cute too.

2nd place went to a young girl who dressed as a bee
with her two dogs but that pic came out all blurry.

We were told this guy's Jaildog costume was appropriate
cuz he's always getting in trouble! I don't know, he looks sweet to me!

Lakota approved of the evening

I wish more of the pics came out but these are about the best I have.

The dogs look so cute in costume! I'd have a hard time judging too :D

Aren't they fun all dressed up? Your contestants seem to have no problems with it, and they're all so great :) Choices, choices...Glad your Halloween was fun!
I hope you are feeling better now after Zinger's departure for the bridge...we were really sorry to hear that, we'll miss him :'(

Wow, 80 booths, and 20 costumed dogs, plus whatever else ... I would a blurred a few pictures too! Great coverage of a good event.

I wish I looked half as good in a costume, especially the harem girl. I'll bet it was a hoot and you did a great job of judging.
