Fidgeting About...

Meet Fidget...
"This sure is a nice little house Mom gave me"

She came home Thursday but I have been so swamped helping my dear friend Debbie get the last little pieces of her life here packed up to move to Santa Cruz for good Sunday morning that I have had but a brief chance to take any time with my new baby girl.

She's about 4 months old. Her Mama was a lop. That's all I know.

"I really like all the hay and food and toys she has in here.
Maybe I'll go back in and eat some hay."

She's a wonderfully curious, playful, happy bunny. This morning I had the pleasure of watching a few laps of the Bunny 500 with a couple binkies thrown in for fun!

Lakota is even excited to have her and is no longer moping around the house!

"Nope! I think I'd rather run and play!"

I let her out of her cage for a little bit this morning and could not get her to go back in! Once she's using her litter box with, ahem, regularity, she'll have free roam of the house. It's still pretty much bunny-proofed from Archi Ann's days inside, minus the mess from not being home much but at Debbie's house.

"See ya all later!"

*NOTE: this was all taken with Lakota in the house and pretty non-plussed by the bunny activity... Lakota is back to her bunny loving, protecting self. When I brought Fidget home and was holding her for Lakota to sniff, Lakota gave her face a nice bath!

Awww...Carri Ann, this is lovely! Lakota and Fidget are best pals already :) Can't wait to see more of the little girl (who looks a bit like Neville...he's a lop cros too!) - but be careful with the door of the cage. I'd remove it altogether when she's out and about, and put back only to lock her in. A bun got the leg stuck in between the bars of the door whilst going in or out, panicked and broke the bone...the vet had to amputate :(

I was just gonna email you today so see how she and Loco were getting along. So glad to hear it's picked up Loco's spirits. Fidge is a cutie!

Yup, Fidget is a cutie, and Lakota approves:~) Yikes, better get the door off the cage....Yeah, once Tyler was let out of his Xpen I couldn't get him back in without undue force....some buns just know what they want.

I just love that mid-bink photo. She sure healed fast from her surgery.

Yay for Fidget and for making new friends!

Nothing like a little bunny activity to bring a smile to our faces! What a cutie Fidget is (and a great name, too!) Glad that she an Lakota are getting along.

Oh, my, I haven't been here in so long and so much has happened. I am so sorry about O'Reilly. Fidget is a little darling. I love the mid-binky shot. It's wonderful that she and Lakota get along so well already.

I'm so glad you posted on my blog. It seems to me that we are the same type of person. A person that loves deeply and will take the hurt and the loss even if the love lasts only a short while.
I have rescued alot of rabbits from meat auctions. Alot were sickly and I helped them as I could, a few I still have. My little hotot buck passed away a month ago and I miss him awful. sweetest rabbit I ever met. I'm looking forward to reading more about your furry family! Sorry I'm so long winded!

Carri Ann, thanks so much for all of your nice comments. :) I enjoyed the link to O'Reilly with the lobster...I remember that post. Those are such cute pictures. Ya know, I was thinking that maybe I should change the name on my blog sidebar since O'Reilly is running free and happy at the Rainbow Bridge now but I just can't bring myself to do it. I don't know what I would put. :) Anyway, still thinking of you and I will be back to visit soon. :)
